Out with the old... In with the new - WORM FARM

Gore Main School - Enviroschool helpers while the Envirogroup was away!
Our old worm farm was broken and aged.  It was a magnet for wasps who hung round for the fruit and also it looked unsightly.  What could the Envirogroup do?  We decided to get some new worm farms that would work more effectively.  We wanted to be able to collect the worm juice so that we can market and sell this product.  This will provide a rich fertilizer for those who want it and also provide an income for future Envirogroup initiatives.  The Envirogroup was unfortunately away swimming on the day that we decided to move and transfer the old worm farm into the new one... but there were plenty of helpers.  That is what an Enviroschool is... everybody chipping in and helping.  Our new worm farms are sitting happily in their new location and we look forward to collecting the worm juice soon and learning about how the system works.  Check out our photos....
